Sunflower Seed Oil
Rs. 52.00
The sunflower is a very tall plant that ranges anywhere from 5 to 12 feet in height when fully grown. It has a thick stalk (commonly 1 foot thick in diameter), numerous green leaves and is topped by a large flower that is usually bright yellow in color, though varieties that are orange can be found as well. Seeds of the sunflower were brought back to England in the 1600’s during times of exploration and so sunflowers can be found dotting cultivated beds in Britain as well.
Nearly all parts of the flower are edible. This includes the flower itself, the stem, the oil and the seeds. Sunflower seeds are commonly eaten as a snack in the United States and can be consumed raw or roasted. The oil obtained from the seeds is used in cooking and has several health benefits.
