Comfrey is a green bush that grows about 4 feet tall when fully matured. It is dotted with pale pink flowers that bloom from the months of May – June. Both the leaves and root of the plant are known for their healing power and the leaves can be brewed into a tea that is useful for the treatment of many physical ailments.

This plant contains allantoin, a substance that proliferates growth and healing of cells. The same component is found in the placenta of a pregnant woman and in her breast milk. The root of the plant is sometimes ground and used in the production of beauty products.
