Rosemary is an evergreen shrub that grows about 5 feet tall and is characterized by spiky green leaves protruding from woody stems. It has a heady, aromatic scent reminiscent of pine that adds amazing flavor to food and oils.

From March until October, small flowers that range in color from white or pale blue to indigo bloom amidst its leaves. The genus name Rosmarinas means “dew of the sea”, taken from the rosemary plant's prevalence by the Mediterranean.
