Bentonite is known as a healing clay. It is the product of volcanic ash and was formed many millions of years ago when volcanic glass was altered into clay minerals that mixed with water.

Bentonite is found in deposited rocks leftover from volcanic eruptions. Harvesting of the rocks takes place in the United States, primarily in Wyoming, Montana, California, Arizona and Colorado.

It can also be found in various countries throughout the world.
